Mary Frances Glassman, 91, Lenexa, formerly of Hays, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, at the Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Mo.
She was born Dec. 22, 1925, in Kansas City, Mo., to Isidore and Josephine (Jacobs) Leiker.
She married Robert F. Glassman on Oct. 23, 1945, in Hays. He preceded her in death Jan. 21, 2005. She was a homemake.
She enjoyed playing cards, golf and bowling. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and St. Joseph Church. She volunteered at St. John’s Rest Home, HaysMed Hospice and Meals on Wheels. She was currently a member of the Daughters of Isabella Circle No. 254 of Hays and Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lenexa.
Survivors include two daughters, Belinda Hartman and Susan Meyers, both of Lenexa; six grandchildren, Sara Bass, Jeff Hartman and wife, Rachel, Betsy Hilgers, Jason Hilgers and wife, Melanie, Lindsey McDowell and husband, Matt, Josh Hilgers and wife, Kristen; and 14 great-grandchildren, Whitney Hartman, Carlie Hilgers, Taylor Hilgers, Jesse Wilkins, Ethan Waddell, Ben Hartman, Maggie Bass, Josie Hilgers, Jacob Hartman, Janie Hilgers, Emrey Hilgers, Maci McDowell, Lily McDowell and Callen Hilgers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Robert F. Glassman Jr.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays; burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Monday, both at Brock's-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 2509 Vine, Hays, KS 67601.
A Daughters of Isabella rosary, followed by a vigil at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, both at the funeral chapel.
Memorials are requested to Thomas More Prep-Marian High School, Hays or Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Mo., in care of the funeral home.
