William Francis Zeller, 71, McCracken died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017, at his home.
He was born May 7, 1946, in La Crosse to Francis and Julia (Davenport) Zeller.
He married Paulette Nicholson on Aug. 4, 1974, in Hays. He later married Cecelia Wheeler. He worked on off-shore drilling rigs, worked with Sykes for computer technology support, worked at a liquor store and managed the local rural water district. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served aboard the USS Forrestal and USS Enterprise during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of the American Legion, McCracken, attended the United Methodist Church, McCracken, and United Methodist Church English Hand Bell Choir.
Survivors include two sons, Daniel Zeller, McCracken and William Zeller and wife, Jana, La Crosse; a brother, John Zeller and wife, Melanie, McCracken; his companion and caregiver, Cecilia Gilbert, McCracken; two nieces, Sarah Emerson and husband, Kiel, Hays, and Rachel Legleiter and husband, Lance, Olathe; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Daniel Martin Zeller.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, McCracken; burial in McCracken Cemetery.
Viewing will be at 5 p.m. Sunday and before services Monday, both at the church.
A rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the church.
