Robert C. Wall, 60, Manhattan, died Saturday Jan. 20, 2018, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City, Mo., after an extended illness.

He was born May 26, 1957, in Alva, Okla., to George and Margaret (Hardgrove) Wall. He was a 1975 graduate of Hays High School and a 1981 graduate of Fort Hays State University with a bachelor’s of science degree in marketing.

He married Marquelta Allen in October 1981. He worked for the last 16 years at the Stanion Wholesale Electric in Manhattan as the warehouse manager and in sales and previously worked for Pumpco Wholesale, Pumps of Kansas and Nova Boats.

He was a member of the College Avenue United Methodist Church, Manhattan. He served as an assistant scout master for Troop 74, a past master of the Hays Lodge No. 195 Kansas Free Masons A.F. & A.M. and obtained Degree of Chevalier of Frank S. Land Chapter Order of DeMolay, Hays.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Travis and wife Melissa, Ogden; a daughter, Catherine, of the home in Manhattan; his mother; a sister, Darcy Wall; two grandchildren, Brantley and Braxton, both of Ogden; his aunt, Peggy Hitt; his in-laws, Alvin and Lena May Allen; his brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Judy Allen; and many cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at College Avenue United Methodist Church, Manhattan; burial will follow the service.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, with family greeting friends at Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, Manhattan.

Memorials are suggested to Robert Wall Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
