Luella Lambrecht, 81, Ellis, died Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Hays Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 25, 1937, in Hays to Jacob and Lydia (Bieker) Begler.

She married Earl James Lambrecht on Sept. 2, 1958, in WaKeeney. He preceded her in death April 27, 2017.

She was a homemaker and had cooked at Alloway’s and Skelly restaurants in Ellis.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella.

She enjoyed gambling trips and traveling with her sisters, but most of all was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include three daughters, Debra Williams and husband, Fred Johnson, Big Cabin, Okla., Joan Yunker and husband, Dan, Andover, and Gail Dreiling and husband, Dave, Ellis; a daughter-in-law, Kim Lambrecht, Hays; a brother, Jerald Begler and wife, Trudy, Broomfield, Colo.; two sisters, Marge Bryant, Minneola, Texas, and Beverly Elliott and husband, Michael, Tulsa, Okla.; nine grandchildren, Natalie Silkey and husband, Justin, Emily Williams and Trevor Williams, Crystal Brungardt-Groen and husband, Matt, Candice Sullivan and husband, Justin, Nicole Maxwell and husband, Korey, Dani Ricke and husband, Kyle, Jake Dreiling and Joan Dreiling, and Alex Stamm; seven great-grandchildren, Serenity and Carter Silkey, Kail, Tanis and Brody Brungardt, and Noah and Ella Ricke.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Greg Lambrecht; and two sisters, Laura Rellins and Lillian Hunter.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Ellis; inurnment in St. Mary Cemetery.

A Daughters of Isabella rosary will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to St. Mary Catholic Church or St. Mary Catholic School.
