Clarence W. Bieker, 83, Hoxie, died Friday, March 30, 2018, at his home in Hoxie.

He was born Aug. 27, 1934, in rural Sheridan County to Louis C. and Ludwina (Munsch) Bieker.

He married Virginia J. (Butcher) Bieker on July 16, 1959, in Kearns, Utah. He retired from the Hoxie Co-op. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, of the home in Hoxie; three sons, Mike Bieker, Colorado Springs, Colo., David Bieker and Kevin Bieker, both of Hoxie; four daughters, Kathy Riedel, Quinter, Lisa Bieker, Hoxie, Michele Mason, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Christina Hall, Sublette; four brothers, Ralph Bieker, Hoxie, Eugene Bieker, Oberlin, Alex Bieker, McCook, Neb, and Charles Bieker, Salina; three sisters, Eleanora Douglass, Afton, Okla., Mary Kay Sanders and Elizabeth Ann Stillman, both of Hoxie; 21 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Hoxie; burial in Hoxie City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday with family receiving friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at

Mickey-Leopold Funeral Home, Hoxie.

A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Sheridan County Benefit Walk in care of the funeral home.
