Carol Sue Albers, 80, Grinnell, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2018, in Quinter.

She was born Feb. 19, 1938, in Grinnell to J.E. and Gertrude (Schwarz) Moore.

She married George Albers on June 22, 1957. He preceded her ind death. She was a homemaker and was a waitress at Mittens for 17 years.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Altar Society and the Salina Diocese’s Council of Catholic Women. She enjoyed spending time volunteering at the Grinnell-Angelus Area Heritage Center, the Grinnell Senior Center and for the Gove County Medical Center Auxiliary.

Survivors include six sons, Nicholus, Merl and wife, Stephanie, Julian R. and wife, Tammy, Loren and wife, Amy, Kent and wife, Vickey and Ivan; nine daughters, Denice Jehring and husband, Bill, Angie Heinrich and husband, Greg, Bea Albers, Eva Crispin and husband, Carey, Faye Cyr and husband, Todd, Hope Weninger, and husband, Duane, Tranda Morrissey and husband, Chris, ­­­­­­­Trudi Albers and Veronica Hartman and husband, James; three brothers, Joe, Pat and Mike Moore; four sisters, Jeanne Mann, Helen Nieman, Priscilla Moore and Iris Peterson; 59 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, John Moore; a sister, Gretchen Anderson; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Grinnell.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Parish Center, Grinnell.

A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the center.

Memorials are suggested to the church, Moore Family Library or Grinnell Senior Center, in care of Baalmann Mortuary, Oakley.
