Doris Irene (Pooley) Brumley, 81, Salina, formerly of Natoma, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2018, at Smokey Hill Health and Rehabilitation, Salina.
She was born Sept. 3, 1936, in Paradise to James and Helen (Naylor) Pooley. She grew up in rural Russell County and graduated from Lucas High School.
She married Robert H. Fischer. She was a certified nurse assistant at Wheatland Nursing Center, Russell.
Survivors include two sons, David Fischer, Salina and Michael Fischer, Olathe; two sisters, Marjorie Graham, Russell and Kathy Rose, Hoisington; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her ex-husband; a son, Robert A. Fischer; and a daughter, Laurette E. Fischer.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell; burial in Natoma City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday with family greeting guests from 4 to 6 p.m. at the mortuary.
Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer's Association in care of the mortuary.
