Marvin R. Poe, 82, Oberlin, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2018, at CHI Good Samaritan Hospital, Kearney, Neb.

He was born Nov. 9, 1936, in El Dorado to Russell O. and Lula Frances (Holmes) Poe.

He married Ruby Dougherty on June 5 1955, in Plainville.

Survivors include his wife, Oberlin; two sons, Ed Poe, Oakley, and Dale Poe, Hill City; five daughters, Patsy Leddy, Conway Springs, Debra Stanley, Wichita, Lori Vinsonhaler, Belle Plaine, Julie Stickel, Omaha, Neb., and Nancy Corder, Lake Havasu; two sisters, Betty Glover, Hampton, Ark., and Bonnie Ramirez, Edmond, Okla.; 44 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hill City; burial in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Hill City.

Visitation will be from 2 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday with family present from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Stinemetz Funeral Home, Hill City.
