Rex P. Curry, 85, Plainville, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2018, in Plainville.

He was born July 14, 1933, in Osborne County to Floyd and Edna (Rogers) Curry.

He married Darlene (Thibault) Curry on June 24, 1957, in Osborne. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; three sons, Kendall Curry, Topeka, Mark Curry, Florence, and Darren Curry, Salina; a daughter, Cheryl Schremmer, Salina; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Dale Curry in 1964.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Plainville; burial will be at 2:30 p.m. in St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery with military honors by the U.S.Army.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, Plainville, and from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the church.

A Ladies Guild rosary will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

A vigil will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer’s Association of Kansas or Sacred Heart Catholic School in care of the funeral home.
