Clarence Fisher, 87, Wichita, formerly of Hays, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019.
He was born July 21, 1931, in Antonino to Clements and Pauline (Stubert) Fisher.
He married Mary Ann (Kisner) on April 26, 1958. She preceded him in death May 8, 1984. He later married Shirley (Dreher) on Oct. 25, 1991. He was a butcher for P&B Packers and had worked at the Ramada Inn.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.
He was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley; two daughters, Joan Lappin and husband, Daryl, and JaNelle VanBruggen and husband, Steve; three grandsons Joshua, Jared and Jesse Anderson; a stepdaughter, Lisa Smith and husband, Pete; four step-grandchildren, Noah, Asher, Brielle and Judson Smith; a brother, Robert Fisher; a sister, Helen Pfeifer; and numerous extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Fisher; three brothers, Alfred Fisher, Wilfred Fisher, Edwin Fisher; and two sisters, Esther Bieker and Irene Bieker.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Hay; inurnment in St. Joseph Cemetery with military honors by Hays VFW Honor Guard.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday with family present at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the charity of your choice in Clarence's name.
