Sharon Gerber, 77, Beloit, formerly of Ellis, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2019, at Mitchell County Hospital, Beloit.
She was born June 11, 1941, in Hays to Dale H. and Delores M. (Rupp) Henderson. She was a 1959 graduate of Ellis High School.
She married Ted A. Gerber on Dec. 28, 1968, in Hays. He preceded her in death April 1, 1997. She was a certified nurse aide, certified medical aide and a dietary aide at Good Samaritan Society, Ellis.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, both of Ellis.
She enjoyed bingo, puzzles and her grandchildren’s activities.
Survivors include a son, Ted Gerber (Sandy), Beloit; a daughter, Dee Dee Cross (Craig Gillette), Phillipsburg, three brothers, Floyd Henderson and Dale Wayne Henderson, both of Ellis, and Terry Henderson, Wamego; two sisters, Mickey Barber, Covington, Ga., and Tina Marie Kroeger, Alabama; and four grandchildren, Dustin Cross (Randi Schamberger), Ellis, Casey Cross (Amanda), Hays, Jonathan Gerber, Salina, and Abigail Ann Gerber, Beloit.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gordon and Bob Henderson; and a grandson, Joshua Cross.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Ellis; inurnment in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, with a combined rosary and vigil at 7 p.m., all at the church.
Memorials are suggested to St. Mary Church.
