Charles “Chuck” Lindsay, 84, Oakley, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2019, at his home.

He was born Aug. 4, 1934, in Garnett to Claude and Dott (Slinkard) Lindsay.

He married Eunice Vavricka on Oct. 7, 1960, in Oakley. He was maintenance supervisor for USD 274 in Oakley.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Mitch Powell and wife, Nancy, Halstead, and Rusty Lindsay and wife, Pam, Hays; two daughters, Susan Glassman and husband, Jerry, Oakley, and Terri Hutton and husband, Dan, Scott City; 10 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Betty Raines, Dixie Lindsay, Cherry Law and Cora Lee Walker; and four brothers-in-law, Kelvin Hullet, Robert Vavricka, Pat Vavricka and Lee Beckner.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, George and Emmett: a brother-in-law, Warren Park: and two sisters-in-law, Mae Hullet and Candy Jo Beckner.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Oakley United Christian Church at the Buffalo Bill Cultural Center; burial in Oakley Cemetery with military honors by the U.S. Army, Fort Riley and the Oakley Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2981.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, Oakley.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Chuck Lindsay Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
