Viola A. Burns, 90, Belton, Mo., died Monday, March 25, 2019.

She was born Sept. 24, 1928, in Munjor to Hilarius Leiker and Bridget (Jacobs) Leiker.

She married Raymond P. Burns on Sept. 10, 1955. He preceded her in death after 41 years. She was a homemaker.

She enjoyed gardening, bowling and was an avid sports fan, especially when watching her sons or grandsons play.

She was a member of Loosely Knit Knitters and St. Sabina Catholic Church.

Survivors include three sons, James R. Burns, Gary J. Burns and wife, Janet, Lawrence G. Burns; a daughter, Kathy A. Burns; a sister, Laverna Samuelson and husband, John; a brother, Larry Leiker and wife, Donna; and two grandchildren, John and James.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Gilbert, Robert, Francis, Charles and Richard Leiker; and two sisters, Agnes Pfannenstiel and Dolores Hoffman.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at at St. Sabina Catholic Church, Belton; burial in Belton Cemetery.

A rosary will be at 9:45 a.m. Friday at the church.
