Walter C. Ehrlich, 90, Great Bend, formerly of Russell, died Monday, March 25, 2019, at St. John Hospital, Leavenworth.

He was born Sept. 3, 1928, in rural Russell County to Godfred and Regina (Boger) Ehrlich. He was a 1947 graduate of Russell High School.

He married Isabelle Ehrlich. He drove for Thies Packing Co., Great Bend, for approximately 20 years and various other companies. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in February 1951.

Survivors include a son, Keith Ehrlich, Wichita; a daughter, Rosalee Robinson, Leavenworth; a brother, Edward Ehrlich, Omaha, Neb.; three grandchildren; a step-grandson; and two step-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Southern Baptist Church, Great Bend; gaveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Russell City Cemetery.

Visitation will be until 8 p.m. with family present from 6 to 7 p.m. at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell, Memorials are suggested to First Southern Baptist Church in care of the mortuary.
