Elenora Moeder, 89, La Crosse, died Sunday, March 31, 2019, at Locust Grove Village, La Crosse.
She was born May 25, 1929, in rural La Crosse to Nicholas and Veronica (Legleiter) Herrman. She was a lifelong resident of Rush County. She was a 1947 graduate of La Crosse High School. She was a homemaker and farm wife.
She married Thomas J. “Tommy” Moeder on June 15, 1948, in La Crosse. He preceded her in death August 6, 2003. She was a homemaker and farm wife.
She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, La Crosse.
Survivors include five sons, Larry Moeder and wife, Deanna, Manhattan, Leon Moeder and wife, Susan, Wichita, Kurt Moeder, Kevin Moeder and wife, Cheryl, and Duane Moeder and wife, Linda, all of La Crosse; two brothers, Marvin Herrman and wife, Florence, La Crosse and Albert “Al” Herrman and wife, Mary, Lindsborg; 11 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Chris Herrman, Elmer Herrman, Alvin Herrman, Alex Herrman, Kenneth Herrman and Raymond Herrman; and five sisters, Emma Moeder, Agnes Herrman, Bertha Sauber, Edith Bollig and Sister Louise Herrman.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael Catholic Church, La Crosse; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Liebenthal.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 9 to 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, both at the church.
A vigil/rosary will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
