Gerald “Jerry” Crotinger, 80, Hays, died Wednesday, May 1, 2019, in Hays.
He was born Jan. 14, 1939, in McCracken to Alfred and Lucille (Allen) Crotinger. He was a 1957 graduate of McCracken High School and obtained a bachelor’s degree in art from Fort Hays State University.
He was a farmer and remodeling contractor.
He enjoyed art of all kinds including photography, oil and watercolor painting and ceramics.
Survivors include two sons, James Crotinger and wife, Laura, Kirkland, Wash., and Daniel Crotinger and wife, Amber, Salina; a daughter, Theresa Crotinger, Salina; a stepson, Frank Boutin and wife, Maria, Defuniak, Springs, Fla., two stepdaughters, Tina Augustine and husband, Lonny, Eaton, Colo., and Clorice LaBarge, Hays; a sister, Dorothy Graham and husband, Sam, Kingman; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Suzanne Crotinger; and a grandchild.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Brock's-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 2509 Vine, Hays, KS 67601; burial in Locust Hill Cemetery, Rush Center.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 12:30 p.m. Monday until time of service, both at the funeral chapel.
