Keith Michael Callahan, 41, of Omaha formerly of Greeley passed away unexpectedly on May 7, 2019, in Omaha.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 13, 2019, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Greeley. Father Sidney B. Bruggeman will officiate. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Greeley. Visitation will be at the Church on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to The Family’s Choice to be designated at a later date. T.J. Finn and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Keith was born on December 1, 1977, at St. Paul, Nebraska to Dan and Grace (McQuillan) Callahan. After graduating from Greeley High School in 1996, Keith worked alongside his Dad at S.E. Smith & Sons in Greeley. Following that, Keith lived in Hays, Kansas with his brother, Tim, where he worked at Heartland Building Center. Most recently, Keith resided in Omaha and worked for Window Innovations as a Delivery Manager.
Keith was a member of St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church in Omaha and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. An avid sports enthusiast, Keith was a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs as well as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. While residing in Greeley, Keith enjoyed golf and bowling leagues as well as umpiring Legion baseball games. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family.
Survivors include his loving parents, Dan and Grace Callahan of Greeley; a sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Mike Wagner of Lincoln, two brothers and best friends, Craig Callahan and Tim Callahan and his wife, Amanda all of Omaha; nieces, Nicole, Jadyn, Haley, and Kelly; nephews, Gavin, Reilly, Keegan and Jameson; and his special friend, Jamie Bayle-Rojas; and her children, Sophia and Tomasi of Omaha.
Keith was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Mick and Janet McQuillan; paternal grandparents, Charles and Dolores Callahan; aunts, Patricia McQuillan, Karen McQuillan, Ann Brown, Margaret Swain, and Mary Jane Callahan; uncles, Barney Callahan and Gene Callahan; cousin, Sean McGuire; and a nephew, Devin Wagner.
