Ronald Lester Burbridge, 90, Russell, died Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at University of Kansas Health Center, Great Bend.
He was born June 1, 1928, in Peru, Neb., to Clifford Clarence and Minnie Alice (Hawkins) Burbridge. He was a 1947 graduate of Bellevue High School, Bellevue, Neb.
He married Dolores Del Read on Sept. 23, 1949, in Bellevue. She preceded him in death in 1988. He was an owner and operator of the Gilbert Motel in Des Moines, Iowa, and Copa Best Western Motel and Hereford House restaurant in Medicine Lodge. He was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include a daughter, Diana Morris, Russell; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Lawrence Burbridge.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Bible Baptist Church, Russell; graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Burr Oak Cemetery with military rites by Russell V.F.W. Post No. 6240 Honor Guard.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell.
Memorials are suggested to Bible Baptist Church in care of the mortuary.
