Glenn Franklin Stockham, Jr. 85, Wichita, formerly of Hays, Colby, McPherson and Garden City, died Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at his home from Alzheimer’s disease after surgery for a broken hip following a fall.
He was born July 16, 1933, in Hutchinson to Glenn Franklin and Violet Woodrow Miller Stockham.
He was married to Jean M. Edwards from 1955 to 1973. She preceded him in death. He later married Patricia Anne Rhea on June 8, 1974, in McPherson. He was president of Business and Professional Planning, Inc. in Garden City. He was a U.S. Army veteran for two years active duty and four years in the reserves, post Korea, 1955 to 1961.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia; three daughters, Amy Stockham, Lisa Stockham and Denise Kellams, all of Wichita; sisters Jereldene Meyerly and Betty Jones, both of Tulsa, Okla., Rosalie Ayers, Nipomo, Calif., and Marie Wilbur, Lyons; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Hort.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Valley View Cemetery, Garden City.
