Duane "Mini" Fisher, 55, Hays, died Monday, May 20, 2019, in Hays.
He was born Jan. 14, 1964, in Hays to Edwin and Freda (Werth) Fisher. He was a 1982 graduate of Ellis High School.
He married Karla Braun on Oct. 22, 2011, in Hays. He owned and operated Toby Jugs in Hays for the past 17 years.
He was an avid golfer, a KU Jayhawks and Kansas City Chiefs fan.
He was a fun loving, good hearted person who truly valued his family and friends. Some of his favorite times was traveling with his wife and friends to numerous KC Royals and KC Chiefs games as well as trips to Las Vegas. He supported his family, friends and community in numerous ways.
Survivors include his wife, Hays; his mother, Ellis; two brothers, Dave Fisher and wife, Kaleen, and Darrrell "Munch" Fisher and wife, Pat, all of Hays; a stepson, Tyler Legleiter, Hays; mother-in-law, Mary Jo Braun, Hays; grandson, Taethon Legleiter, Hays; a nephew, James John “JJ” Fisher, Kansas City; nieces, Holly Latham, Great Bend, Lacey Dreiling, Hays, Chelsey Dawson, Hutchinson, and Natalie Ellis, Hays; and a special friend, Avon Smith, Hays.
He was preceded in death by his father; and his father-in-law, Marvin F. Braun.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church, Hays; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Hays.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
A combined vigil/rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, both at the church.
