Richard D. Lovin, 69, Ellis, died Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at Good Samaritan Society, Hays.
He was born April 8, 1950, in Quinter. He was a graduate of Hoxie High School and Colby Community College from the LPN program.
He married Patricia Hankins on Jan. 14, 1994. He worked at Developmental Services of Northwest Kansas, in Hays, prior to retiring in March of 2014.
Survivors include his wife, of the home in Ellis; two sons, James Brungardt, Victoria, and Bill Hankins, WaKeeney; two daughters, Kathy Zahn ,WaKeeney, and Danielle Anderson, Ellis; four brothers, Bob Lovin, Manhattan, Rex Lovin, Salina, Melvin Lovin, Hoxie, and Jack Lovin, Wichita; three sisters, Joyce Lovin, Manhattan, Mary Phillips, Hugoton and Cindy Galloway, Carbondale; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Scott Lovin.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Schmitt Funeral Home, WaKeeney; burial in WaKeeney City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to Richard Lovin Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
