Arnold Clarence “Arnie” Michaelis, 81, Russell, died Thursday, July 11, 2019, at Salina Regional Hospital.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell; burial in Russell City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday with family greeting guests from 6 to 7 p.m. at the mortuary.

 

Dwaine George Grubb, 72, Holyrood, died Thursday, July 4, 2019, at Ellsworth County Medical Center.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Wilson; cremation was selected by the family and a private family burial will take place at a later time.

 

Charles G. “Chuck” Arnold, 85, Plianville, died Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at Hays Medical Center.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church; burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery with military honors by U.S. Army and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 8871.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday at Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, Plainville, and from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.

A vigil/rosary will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the church.

 

James I. Miller, 83, Phillipsburg, died Sunday, July 14, 2019, at Phillips County Retirement Center, Phillipsburg.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg; burial in Fairview Cemetery with military honors.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m . Friday with family receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

 

Betty L. Froelich, 84, Gorham, died Sunday, July 14, 2019, at The Shepherd’s Center in Cimarron.

A celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Gorham Senior Center, Gorham; private family inurnment will be in Winterset Cemetery, south of Gorham.

Family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the center.

 

Merle Dean Ellner, better known as Dean, 89, Hays, died Sunday, July 14, 2019, at Hays Medical Center.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at The First Presbyterian Church, Hays; private family inurnment will be in Mount Allen Cemetery, Hays.

Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary of Hays, 1919 E. 22nd, Hays, KS 67601, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, at the church.
