James Lee “Jim” Kuhn, 73, formerly of Victoria, died Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at Ascension Hospital St. Francis, Wichita.

He was born Oct. 2, 1945, in Hays to Emil A. and Luella M. (Walters) Kuhn. He grew up in Victoria and attended Victoria High School. He lived in Victoria then moved to Munjor for a few years and has lived the last two years in the Pioneer Lodge Nursing Home in Coldwater.

He was self-employed as a contract house painter for many years.

He enjoyed working on Mopar cars and drag racing motor sports.

Survivors include two sons, Geoffrey Kuhn and wife, Robin, Hays, Scott Kuhn and Mary Pierson, Stockton; a daughter, Stacey Brackney and husband, Charley, Yukon, Okla.; two sisters, Helene Staton and Carol Kuhn, both of Hays; a sister-in-law, Gail Kuhn, Junction, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Neil A. Kuhn and Dave Kuhn; and a niece, Jennifer Bishop.

Graveside services and inurnment were Friday in St. Fidelis Cemetery Victoria, Kansas.
