Glen Nelson “Moon” Mullens, 90, previously of Duncan, Okla., died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2019, at Hays Good Samaritan Society.

He was born April 14, 1929, in Foster, Okla., to JR and Edna (Smith) Mullens. He was a graduate of Elmore City High School.

He married Inetta Burgin on Dec. 24, 1949, in Duncan. She preceded him in death. He was working in a grocery store in Duncan and he met Earl P. Halliburton, who extended an invitation to join Halliburton Services. He worked for Halliburton in many different positions for the next 42 years. His Halliburton years included stops in Duncan, El Dorado, Hays, Russell, Atwood, Hill City, and McCook, Neb. He ended his career with Halliburton in Dumas, Texas, as their district manager.

He enjoyed mowing at the farm, golfing — where he achieved three holes in one — and later in life having coffee with guys.

Survivors include a son, Ralph Mullens, Spring, Texas; a daughter, Glenna Alm and husband, Thomas, Hays; a sister, Juanice Romine, Altus, Okla., and a brother-in-law, Roundy Layton, Lindsay, Okla.; four grandchildren, Stacie (Alm) Zimmerman and husband, Eric, and Jason Alm and wife, Raina, all of Hays, Meredith (Mullens) Muerer and husband, Chris, San Marcos,Texas, Kristen (Mullens) Khazzoum and husband, Nick, Houston, Texas; and six great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Brady and Boston Zimmerman, Reed and Kennedy Alm, and Reid Khazzoum.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Manson Mullens; and a sister, Arletha Layton.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Aug. 24 at Foster Church of Christ, Foster, Okla; burial in Foster Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 23 at Wooster Funeral Home, Elmore City, Okla., and from 9 a.m. until time of service Aug. 24 at the church.
