Magdelena “Lena” Zerr, 93, Grainfield, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2019.

She was born March 18, 1926, in Gove County.

She married Leo Zerr on Oct. 1, 1946. He preceded her in death Nov. 10, 1996. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Willie Zerr, Minneapolis, and Charlie Robben, Kansas City, Mo.; eight daughters, Maryann Kaiser, Bennington, Esther Leiker, Gardner, Kathy Ziegler, Winfield, Louise Hein, La Crosse, Micki Quint, Hays, Flo Quint, Quinter, Joan Wasinger, Salina, and Carol Weber, Grainfield; half-brothers, Felix Heier, WaKeeney, and Tom Heier, Oakley; a half-sister, Tina Bockwinkel, Oakley; 27 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Grainfield; burial in Grainfield Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at St. Agnes Religious Education Center, Grainfield.

A rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the center.

Memorials are suggested to HMC Hospice, Via Christi Village, St Agnes Church or The American Heart Association, in care of Schmitt Funeral Home, Quinter.
