Mark Reif, 56, Plainville, died Monday, Sept. 9, 2019, at his home.
He was born Aug. 21, 1963, in Great Bend to Charles and Lucille (Pierce) Reif. He was a 1981 graduate of Plainville High School and furthered his education at Northwestern Kansas Technical College in Beloit.
He owned and operated his ranch and continued to run Reif Welding and Construction. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was stationed in Germany for three years.
Survivors include his parents, Plainville; his children, Vincent Reif, Pittsburg, Patrick Reif, Plainville, Amber Reif, Lawrence, Peony Weber, Palco, and Callee Pfannenstiel, Hays; two brothers, Michael Reif, Hays, and Marvin Reif, Plainville; four sisters, Tabea Reif, Hutchinson, Sarah McWhirter, Dighton, Laura Foss, Plainville, and Donna Ochs, Grainfield; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Plainville; burial in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Plainville.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday with family receiving friends at Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, Plainville.
A Knights of Columbus rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
