Alice Irene Schneider, 96, Hays, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, at Brookdale Senior Living.
She was born Sept. 13, 1923, northwest of Severin to James F. and Virginia (Koerner) Giebler.
She married Clarence Schneider, Sr. in 1982. He preceded her in death in 1994. She later married Paul Warrick on Feb. 7, 1944. He preceded her in death in 2006. She was seamstress and dressmaker for many years in Hays and Denver. She was also an avid painter and created doll clothes and other crafts.
She was a member of the Basilica of St. Fidelis in Victoria for many years and more recently of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hays.
Survivors include four daughters, Gere Warrick and husband, Chet, Athens, Ga., Jan Warrick and husband, Chris, Bowmanville, Ontario, Jenelle Warrick, Tonawanda, N.Y., and Julie Woodrick and Roberta, Lawrence; two brothers, Kenneth and wife, Edna, and Vernon and wife, Lori; two sisters, Ruth Carter, Jacksonville, Fla., and Mae Desch-Boos, Lafayette, Colo.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Loretta Stecklein and husband, Henry, Sylvia Stecklein and husband, Richard, Ventura Weigel and husband, Alvin, Lorraine Dreiling and husband, Marvin, and Jeannie Rupp and husband, Francis Al; and two brothers, Joseph and wife, Lucille and James and wife, Theresa.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays; burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to Arc of Central Plains thrift store.
