Mary Lou Odle, 74, Salina, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2019, at her home.

She was born July 15, 1945, in Beloit to Paul and Susan (Gasper) Zimmer. She was a graduate of Downs High School and earned a bachelor of science degree from Fort Hays State University in home economics education and a master of science from Kansas State University in adult education.

She married Terry Odle on, June 1, 1981, in Salina. She taught high school in Plainville and was a Kansas State Research and Extension agent in Russell County before accepting a similar position in 1978 in Salina. She retired in 2012 after 34 years in that position. 

Survivors include her husband; a stepson, David Odle and wife, Kim, Salina; a brother, Terry Zimmer and wife, Valerie, Salina; two sisters, Rita Holling and husband, Ron, Alton, and Joan Drees and husband, Larry, Ellinwood; a brother and sister-in-law, Ted Odle and wife, Jean, McPherson, and Tammy Goering and husband, Greg, McPherson; her nieces and nephews, Mark Holling and wife, Shannon, Alton, Mary Ellen Beck and husband, Rob, Stockton, Kathy Holling, Kensington, Jeff Holling and wife, Beth, Glen Elder, Michael Drees and wife, Arielle, Hays, Sarah Liebll, Hutchinson, Angie Mendez and husband, Manny, Topeka, Trenton Goering and wife, Danielle, Manhattan, and Taylor Goering, Galva. 

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina; burial will be at a later date in Stockton Cemetery.  

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday with family receiving friends at 6 p.m. at Ryan Mortuary, Salina.

A vigil will be at 7 p.m.  Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the Saline County 4-H Development Fund, or Sacred Heart Cathedral in care of the mortuary.
