Georgia Wyatt, 77, Hays died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019, in Hays.
She was born Oct. 28, 1941, in Norton to George and Iva Gayle (Powell) Craig.
She married Clair Wyatt on Nov. 11, 1972, in Norton. She had worked at Fort Hays State University in the custodial maintenance department. She spent summers on her Grandma Powell's farm, where her love for animals was born through taking care of them. She enjoyed gambling at Dodge City and volunteering her free time as a senior companion. She enjoyed spending time at home with her husband and taking care of her cats and dogs.
Survivors include her husband, Hays; a son, Bradley Wyatt, Hays; four daughters, Lisa Shelton and husband, Larry, Topeka, Dana Wyatt-LeFebvre and husband, Kenny, Tacoma, Wash., Shanon Wyatt and Phillip Pfortmiller, Phillipsburg, and Gina Lennemann and husband, Dan, Lafayette, La.; three brothers, Dale Craig and wife, Carol, Richard Craig and and wife, Betty, and David Craig and wife, Terese; 16 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws, Hervey and Leona Wyatt; a son, Clint Wyatt; a granddaughter, Chloe Wyatt;and a grandson, Isaac Wyatt.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Brock's-Keithley Funeral Chapel, 2509 Vine, Hays, KS 67601; private family inurnment will be at a later date in Norton Cemetery.
A memorial visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral chapel.
Memorials are suggested to Hays Senior Center, Hays Humane Society or Hays Hospice, in care of the funeral chapel.
