MaryAnna Anschutz, 91, Russell, died Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019, at Redbud Village Court in Plainville.

She born on April 9, 1928, to Henry and Leona (Boucek) Ward. She was a graduate of Minneapolis High School and earned a bachelor degree in education at University of Kansas.

She married Willis Dean Anschutz. She taught elementary education with USD 407 in Russell for many years.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Amanda and Alexander Miller.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lucy Anschutz on Jan. 7, 2007.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell; burial in Dorrance City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to Red Bud Village, Plainville, in care of the mortuary.
