Anita M. (Kuhn) Karlin, 83, Hays, died Monday, Nov. 18, 2019.

She was born July 10, 1936, in Quinter to Paul A. and Josephine (Engel) Kuhn. She grew up in Grainfield, was a 1954 graduate of Jumbo High School in rural Gove County, and was a 1957 graduate of St. Anthony School of Nursing.

She married Edward J. Karlin on Oct. 26, 1957, in Catharine. He preceded her in death June 6, 2016.

She was a registered nurse at St. Anthony Hospital and Hays Medical Center for 33 years. She and her husband lived on a farm north of Catharine until moving to Hays in 1995.

She was a member of St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Marie Wade and husband, Don, Dodge City, Lisa Karlin, Hays, and Patti Havel and husband, Corey, Leavenworth; and four grandchildren, Taylor Wade and wife, Emma, Samuel Culbreath and wife, Heather, Alex Karlin, and Grant Karlin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Martha Culbreath and husband, Leroy; and a brother, Richard Kuhn.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church, Hays; inurnment in St. Joseph Cemetery Hays.

Family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.

A rosary will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hays Medical Center or Masses.
