Donald Herman Krug, 82, Russell, died Friday, Dec. 13, 2019, at Russell Regional Hospital.

He was born March 3, 1937, in Hays to Herman Alexander and Esther (Bitter) Krug. He was a 1954 graduate of Russell High School and attended a Missouri auctioneer school.

He married Sandra Holt on Feb. 28, 1960, in Russell. He was an auctioneer since 1954, and owned Krug Auction and Reality. He was a U.S. Army National Guard Reserves for six years.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, of the home; two sons, Bradley Allen Krug and Kerry Don Krug, both of Russell; a daughter, Charlene Fae Rainey, Russell; a brother, Monte Krug, Russell; three sisters, Joetta Hartman and Norma Branch, both of Mesa, Ariz., and Lois Davis, Olathe; eight grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Lutheran Church; burial in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Russell.
