Myrtle “Myrt” Jane Rohr, 79, Quinter, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019, in DeSoto.

She was born Dec. 1, 1940, in Scott County to Clive and Nellie (Scott) Sharpe. She was a 1958 graduate of Scott City High School.

She married Franklin M. Rohr on Sept. 20, 1960, in Park. She was a farm girl all her life, growing up with 10 siblings on a farm one mile west of Scott City, then farming with her husband and sons in Gove County.

She enjoyed reading, cooking and sewing. She made her own wedding dress and daughter-in-law’s wedding dresses and christening gowns for her grandchildren. She made many quilts for her family. She enjoyed her grandchildren, supporting them in all their activities.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Frankie “Franklin G.” and wife, Joyce, Quinter, and Darren and wife, Roseann, DeSoto; five brothers, Clive, Harley, Harry, and Hiriam, all of Scott City, and John, Loveland, Colo.; two sisters, Thada Holt, Hurricane, Utah, and Helen Ackley, Hutchinson; and four grandchildren, Chelsea, Cameron, Cole and Laramie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Vivian Sharp and Trilla Hayes; a son, Kevin Rohr; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at United Methodist Church, Scott City.
