Barry Len LaMar, 60, Russell, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019, at Salina Regional Hospital.
He was born Dec. 2, 1959, in Haysville to Herb H. and Patricia (Miller) LaMar. He was a graduate of Russell High School, wrestled at Fort Hays State University and later obtained an associate’s degree in architecture from AAI.
He married Christina “Tina” Pfannenstiel on Aug. 31, 1985. In 2007, he became owner and operator of Barry’s Backhoe LLC.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, of the home; a son, Herbert L. LaMar, Russell; a daughter, Mariah C. Kuntzsch, Gorham; his mother, Joplin, Mo.; three brothers, Brian LaMar, Fayetteville, Ark., Bryce LaMar, Joplin, and Brent LaMar, Desert Hills, Ariz.; and two grandchildren, Thaddeus Kuntzsch and Athena Kuntzsch.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell; burial in Ebenezer Cemetery, in rural Russell County.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday with family present to greet friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at the mortuary.
