Melva McElfish, 91, Plainville, died Monday, Dec. 23, 2019, at Rooks County Health Center.
She was born Aug. 24, 1928, in Greenwood County to Henry and Maize (Banks) Kerns.
She married Ernest McElfish on April 4, 1982, in Desota.
Survivors include her husband, Plainville; a son, Mark McElfish, Kansas City; three daughters, Judy Ross, Liberty, Renee Snyder, Kansas City, and Kim Mai, Plainville; two brothers, David Kerns, Pratt, and Steve Kerns, Maize; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Thompson; a stepdaughter, Cheryl Kohl; and a grandson.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, Plainville; burial in Plainville City Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
