Elric “Rick” Alfred Tremblay, 91, Colby, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020.

He was born Feb. 5, 1928, in Cloud County to Eli and Edmee (Bouley) Tremblay. He graduated from Concordia High School, then attended business school in Chillicothe, Mo.

He married Patricia Morton on Nov. 10, 1952, in Damar. She preceded him in death. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad. He served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1952.  

Survivors include a son, Kevin and wife, Joyce, Hoxie; three daughters, Karen Rimmer and husband, Ed, and and Lisa Johnson, all of Salina, and Shelly Harms and husband, Jim, Colby; 11 grandchildren, Kyle Tremblay and wife, Shayla, Wade Tremblay and wife, Amanda, Bret Tremblay and wife, Nicole, Thomas Rimmer and wife, Amy, Elizabeth Meckley and husband Elliott, Justin Harms, Amanda White and husband, Chris, Tammy Johnson, Christina Frank and husband, Kenneth, and Bryan Johnson and wife, Tiffani; and 21 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Kay Tremblay. 

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Colby; burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby.

A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to Elric Tremblay Memorial Fund in care of the mortuary.
