Kenneth Alvin Jones, 104, Hill City, died Monday, Jan.6, 2020, at Graham County Hospital, Hill City.

He was born Sept. 19,1915, in rural Graham County to Schuyler and Mary Cannon Jones.

He married Dorothy Delaney in 1942. She preceded him in death. He later married Ruth Whitney. He was a U.S. Army Air corps veteran, serving during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Hill City; six sons, Kenneth Jones Jr., Denver, Lloyd Jones and Ronald Jones, both of Wichita, Loren Jones, Redding,Calif., Larry Jones, Hill City, and Kevin Jones, Fredericksburg, Va.; two daughters, Lois Clark, Sioux Falls, S.D., and Ava Bates, Hill City; a brother, Francis Jones, Hill City; five sisters, Margaret Price, Denver, Rosa Stokes, Hill City, Justina Johnson, Houston, Ethel Johnson, Kansas City, Mo.,and Shirley Ryines, Colorado Springs, Colo.; 27 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a grandson.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Stinemetz Funeral Home, Hill City; burial in Mount Olive Cemetery, rural Bogue.

Visitation will be from 2 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday, both at the funeral home.
