Frederick Joseph Albers, 65, Rexford, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2020, at his home.

He was born July 7, 1954, in Colby to Alfred and Anna (Haffner) Albers. He was a 1972 graduate of Rexford High School.

He married Kathy Chance. He later married Vala Mosier on Jan. 31, 2016. He was a farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Frederick Lee Albers; four daughters, Brandi Wark, Sherry Biscomb, Angela Wagoner and Courtney McCarty; two stepsons, Jacob Moiser and Joshua Moiser; a stepdaughter, Jade Spellmeier; four brothers, Alfred “Jr” Albers, Ben Albers, Michael Albers and Ronnie Albers; eight sisters, Ann Johnson, Donna Gerstner, Mary Swann, Marjorie Wagoner, Gerri Toll, Shirley Niermeier, Patircia Summers and Vicki Bailey; and 17 grandchildren, Brooke, Tucker and Talon Wark, Patrick, Beau, Micah and Japheth Biscomb, Cali and Riley Wagoner, Kaeden, Kohen and Krew McCarty, Madalyn, Maisel and Macen Spellmeier, and Aiden and Maxen Moiser.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church; burial in the church cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Northwest Kansas Foundation for Hope or Sheridan County Benefit Walk, in care of Baalmann Mortuary, Colby.
