Charles "Chuck" Riedell, 69, Hays, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020, at Hays Medical Center.
He was born June 18, 1950, in Hays to Don and Betty (Bradley) Riedell.
He owned and operated Western Kansas Restorations in WaKeeney, and you can still find some of his works in local car shows today.
He was a talented artist and enjoyed restoring classic cars, especially Mustangs.
Survivors include a son, Eric Riedell, Hesperia, Calif.; three daughters, Talle Dykema and husband, Danny, Ellis; Jennifer Grant and husband, Jeremy, San Antonio, and Whitney Zerr and husband, Jason, Grainfield; his mother; two brothers, Daniel Riedell Fricia and Tony Riedell, both of California; three sisters, Colleen Wolf and husband, Richard, Larned, Ginny Parker and Randy Schmitt, Hutchinson, and Tracey Berry and husband, Terry, WaKeeney; 12 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his father; his step-father, Roger Hendershot; two brothers, Randy Riedell and Jim Riedell; and a special friend, Alene “Allie” Meskimen.
A memorial visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday with a celebration of life at 6:30 p.m., all at Brock’s-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 2509 Vine, Hays, KS 67601.
