Kris Shane Fox, 54, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020.

He was born Feb. 23, 1965, in Hays. He graduated from Ellis High School and received a master’s in psychology from Fort Hays State University.

He was an avid fisherman. He had a soft spot in his heart for animals. He enjoyed spending time with friends and he loved to debate differences of opinions with anyone up to the challenge.

Survivors include his father, David Fox and wife, Alice, Salina; his stepfather, Greg Wiesner, Ellis; two bothers, Kevin Fox and wife, Connie, Ellis, and David Fox and wife, Jennifer, Wichita; three sisters Karla Weimer and husband, Martin and Karen Knoll, all of Ellis and Erica Schulz and husband, Jason, Kansas City Mo.; 16 nieces and nephews; four great-nieces and nephews; his fishing buddy and cousin, Walker Voss; and numerous other cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sheri (Feldkamp) Wiesner; and his grandparents, Elvon and Ruby Feldkamp and Howard and Donna Fox.

A celebration of his life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, with family receiving friends at 10:30 a.m., at Keithley Funeral Home, 400 E. 17th, Ellis, KS 67637.

Memorials are suggested to a charity to be chosen at at later date.
