Errol Lynn Maranville, 71, Waldo, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020, at Hays Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 31, 1948, in Russell to Chester E. and Bessie M. (Scott) Maranville. He was a 1965 graduate of Washington High School in Denver.
He married Jane Nichols. He later married Joanne Hoffman on March 7, 1982, in Tacoma, Wash. He was a freight claims inspector with Union Pacific Railroad from 1967 to 1995. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; his mother, Russell; daughters, Eilisa Maes, Anchorage, Alaska, Leslie Vun, Tacoma, Wash., and Jamie Harmon, Olympia, Wash.; a son, William Ryan Hoffman, Charlotte, N.C.; a daughter, Lisa Ann Murphy, Seattle; a sister, Cherry A. Noel, Russell; and 15 grandchildren.
A private burial was held Feb. 14, in Russell City Cemetery. The Russell V.F.W. Post No. 6240 provided a military honor guard. A memorial service will be held at a later time.
