William R. “Bill Denison, 68, Hays, died Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Hays Medical Center.

He was born Dec.14, 1951, in Hays to George R. and Dorothy L. (Galloway) Denison. He was a 1970 graduate of Hays High School and attended Fort Hays State University.

He married Kenda L. Wasinger on Sept.11, 1976, in Hays and they celebrated over 43 years of marriage. He was a taxidermist who owned and operated Trophy Fish and Game, a wheat farmer, lived for hunting and fishing, and enjoyed taking his grandkids fishing.

Survivors include his wife, of the home in Hays; a son, John Denison, Hays; a daughter, Jennifer Kohart and husband, David, Lawrence; two sisters, Sally Walker, Overland Park, and Barbara Denison, Newton; and five grandchildren, Olivia Kohart, Hannah Kohart, Phoebe Denison, Kash Denison, and Russel Denison.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Susan Denison.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1906 Pine, Hays, KS 67601; a private family inurnment will be at a later date.

Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
