Tamera Jo Teeter, 62, Salina, died Tuesday, March 10, 2020.
She was born Oct. 27, 1957, in Oakley to Herb and JoAnn (Fink) Teeter. She was a 1975 graduate of Oakley High School, graduated from University of Kansas with a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies.
She lived in Lawrence for many years, working for Sunflower Ammunition Plant and the Lawrence water treatment plant. She worked for the Kansas Department of Health and Environment in the Lawrence and Salina field offices as an environmental scientist for the livestock program.
Survivors include two sons, Sawyer Crandell, Independence, Mo., and Asher Crandell, Lawrence; her mother, Oakley; a sister, Tracee Teeter (Randy Swart), Oakley; and special friend, Dean Althrage, Lawrence.
She was preceded in death by her father; and a son, Morgan Crandell.
Cremation was chosen. Services were Saturday at Oakley United Methodist Church; private family inurnment will be at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to Oakley United Methodist Church, Kansas Honor Flight program, or Konza State Biological Station in care of Baalmann Mortuary, Oakley.
