Ralph Laverne Oswald, 95, Luray, died Saturday, March 21, 2020, at Health Care Resort, Wichita.
He was born Sept. 19, 1924, in Luray to John F. “Frank” and Luella Tressie (Markley) Oswald. He was a 1942 graduate of Luray High School.
He married Myrtle “Myrt” Marie Cline on Feb. 16, 1947, in Salina. She preceded him in death. He was a postmaster at Luray Post Office until retirement in 1989. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
Survivors include two sons, John Oswald and Roger Oswald, both of Wichita; two daughters, Cheryl Gibson, Pittsburg and Janis Kelley, Frontenac; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A private family graveside service will be held immediately. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
