Viola Rosetta (Niedens) Dumler, 94, Salina, formerly of Russell, died Friday, April 17, 2020, at Brookdale Assisted Living in Salina.
She was born March 3, 1926, in Hodgeman Count o John Henry and Bertha (Bitter) Niedens. She grew up in the Hodgeman County area and attended school there until moving to Barton County as a teenager.
She married Victor Leroy Dumler on Dec. 8, 1946, in Milberger. She worked in housekeeping at the Russell Regional Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, of 73 years, of the home; two daughters, Donna Bitter, Garden City and Wanda Radke, Salina; a sister, Lola Wilks, Wichita; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Darrell.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at United Emmanuel Lutheran Church; a private family service will be in Milberger Cemetery.
Public viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell. Family will not be present.
Memorials are suggested to United Emmanuel Lutheran Church or Russell County Food Pantry in care of the mortuary.
