Clyde William Stieben, 80, Bazine, died Sunday, April 5, 2020, at The Good Samaritan Society, Hays.
He was born April 24, 1939, in Ransom to William and Emma Schwein Stieben.
He married Joan Krug in 1964 at Bazine Methodist Church.
He enjoyed working with cattle, traveling to Branson, Mo., and attending the shows, playing putt-putt golf with his grandchildren, together with singing in the church choir.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Brad Stieben and spouse, Tracy, Tulsa, Okla.; three daughters, Marlene Abel and spouse, Lonnie, Garfield, Darla Barricklow and partner, Jim Frank, Hays and Diana Mathe, Sarasota, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings; and a daughter, Deanna.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, a family graveside service with military honors by the Hays VFW, was held April 10 in St Joseph’s Cemetery, Hays. Once the COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted a memorial service at the Bazine Methodist Church will be announced.
Memorials are suggested to Bazine Methodist Church, Hospice at HaysMed, Good Samaritan Society, Hays, or Cedar Village Long Term Care. Contributions made payable to the organization may be sent in care of Brock’s-Keithley Funeral Chapel, 2509 Vine, Hays, KS 67601.
