Sharon (Phlieger) Braun, 71, Surprise, Ariz., died Monday May 25, 2020, at her home.

She was born July 18, 1948, in Quinter to Pius A and Delores (Goetz) Phlieger. She graduated from Park High School and attended Fort Hays State University.

She married Jim Braun on Feb. 23,1980 and celebrated their 40th anniversary this year. She owned and operated Sharon’s Creations, a seasonal kiosk gift business with stores and kiosks in malls around the country during the Christmas season for 28 years. She was a realtor in Surprise for a few years, retiring in 2013.

She enjoyed scrap booking for her children and grandchildren and playing Mah Jong with friends.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Dustin, Surprise; a daughter, Melissa Lawver and husband, Terrence, Aurora, Colo.; her mother, Quinter; a brother, Phil Phlieger, Phoenix; a sister, Shirley Morel and husband, Lonnie, Grainfield; three grandchildren, Brayden and Mackensie Lawver, Aurora and Teagan Braun, Surprise; her mother-in-law, Wanda Braun, Hays; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Cindy and Harvey Munsch, Hays, Kurt and Cindy Braun and Steve and Sue Braun, all of Aurora, Kathy Hoss, Tulsa, Okla., Karen and Mario Gutierrez, Hays and Susan and Todd Dreiling, Colorado Springs, Colo.; 19 nieces and nephews; and 39 great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father in 1987; a brother, Rick Phlieger in 2002; and her father-in-law, Edwin Braun in 2017.

Cremation is planned and due to the circumstances, we have chosen to have a celebration of life later in the year in Arizona and Kansas.
