Glenn James Dinkel, 56, Hays, died Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at his home.


He was born March 2, 1964, in Hays to Donald J. and Rose Mary (Braun) Dinkel. He grew up in Victoria and was a 1982 graduate of Victoria High School.


He married Jamie Lynn (Miller) on June 3, 2016, in Hays. He worked in the oil fields for over 30 years and was Production Foreman for Palomino Petroleum Inc. for a number of years. He also worked at Western Well Service, Clipper Energy, Express Well Service, X-Pert Service Tools.


He was a member of the Basilica of St. Fidelis, Victoria Knights of Columbus and the NRA.


He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.


Survivors include his wife, of the home; two daughters, Erin Pfeifer, and Leah Dinkel, both of Gorham; a stepson, Dalton Stout and fiancÚ, Rylie Rowland, Hays; his mother, Victoria; four brothers, Craig Dinkel and wife, Anne, and Darin Dinkel and wife, Tori, all of Victoria, Carl Dinkel and wife, Miranda, Fredonia and Dennis Dinkel and wife, Jody, Hays; a sister, Karen Nowak and husband, John, Victoria; three grandchildren, Gracie McDonald, Brantley Pfeifer and Gavin Pfeifer a sister-in-law, Jane Dinkel, North Richland Hills, Texas; his mother-in-law, Iris Miller, Victoria; a brother-in-law, Jeff Miller and wife, Nancy, Spring Hill; and several nephews and nieces.


He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Galen Dinkel; and his father-in-law, Marvin L. Miller.


Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at The Basilica of St. Fidelis, Victoria; burial in St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria.


Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, and from 8 to 9 a.m. Saturday, both at The Basilica.


Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hays Medical Center or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
