Patricia Jo Audas Johnson, age 82, formally of Hays, Kansas, passed away June 14, 2020 at Cloverdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Scottsboro, Alabama.

She was born February 22, 1938, to the late William Rufas Audas and Viola Marie Schukman Corsbie, both of Hays. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Patricia attended Fort Hays State University, Brown Mackie Business School and Barton County Community College, in Kansas.

Employment included Western Star Mill, Baxter Travenol, St. Anthony Hospital, Hays Good Samaritan Center, DSNWK, Charles Lee Center, in Hays, Kansas and Disabilities and Special Needs of Cherokee County in South Carolina and Home Health care in Kansas and South Carolina.

With an interest in journalism, she wrote several articles for Hays High School, FHSU, The Hays Daily News and The Blacksburg Times. Hobbies included Genealogy and Crafting.

Survivors include her sister Donna and Husband Aven Weaverling of Hays, KS, a Son; John and wife Michelle Johnson, of South Pittsburg, Tn, Daughter; Jacinda Johnson of Stevenson, Alabama, Grandson; Dylon and wife Ashley Johnson of Pisgah, Alabama, Two Granddaughters; Monica Johnson of South Pittsburg, Tn., and Leslie and Husband Andrew Wyatt of Hays, Kansas, Six Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; William and Viola, a brother; Gary Audas, a sister; Maxine Pfannenstiel and a great granddaughter; Caitlin Johnson.

Funeral services were held on June 15, 2020 at Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel in Alabama.

Arrangements will be made to return Patricia’s remains to her home in Hays, Kansas where a graveside service will take place at Mount Allen Cemetery.
