Meagan Rachelle Wilson, 30, Hays, died Thursday, June 25, 2020, at Hays Medical Center.

She was born April 7, 1990, in Hays to Ross Stuart and Cindi Diane (Chambers) Wilson. She grew up in La Crosse and was a 2008 graduate of La Crosse High School. She was a graduate of Fort Hays State University with a bachelor degree in Education and attended one year at Emporia State College.

She was an elementary teacher for two years at Western Plains Elementary School in Ransom and spent one year at Lincoln Elementary School in Lincoln, Kans.

She was a member of North Oak Community Church, Hays and a former board member of the Ransom Library. She was a teacher for the Vacation Bible School at North Oak Community Church. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, reading, and spending time with her nephew and nieces.

Survivors include her parents, of the home; a sister, Melissa Sprenkle and husband, Jake, Hays; her grandmother, Julia Chambers, Jetmore; a nephew, Jakson Sprenkle; and two nieces, Kinley Sprenkle and Ellie Sprenkle.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ray and Rowena (Sorem) Wilson and James Chambers.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at North Oak Community Church, Hays; a private family graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday in Jetmore Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary of Hays, 1919 E. 22nd , Hays, KS 67601 and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to the La Crosse Elementary School in care of the mortuary.
